John M. Zindar
John Zindar’s broad career has focused on international operations, which is invaluable to SVRs clients in today’s global economy. Besides his native United States, he has lived and worked in Germany, Italy, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, the Dutch West Indies and Cuba. He has experience in nearly 70 countries and is fluent in German and Spanish.
Mr. Zindar is a specialist in assisting business in such areas as cross-border negotiations, due diligence, marketing and distribution, technology transfers, fundraising, and obtaining government funding, and acquisitions.
John is an adjunct professor of economics at New York University and an executive committee member of the Manhattan International Development Corporation. Mr. Zindar served as an advisor to the German Minister of Economics and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama.
Prior to that, Mr. Zindar has spent more than fifteen years in business and economic development and international risk analysis under various consulting engagements in Europe, North America and Latin America. In that capacity, he successfully assisted overseas operations decision-makers in the aerospace, agriculture, automotive, biotech, chemicals, construction, energy, environmental, food processing, glass, ICT, medical, paper and water industries.
John began his career serving ten years as a U.S. Army Intelligence officer with Meritorious Service. After completing his Army service, John worked in politics in Washington, D.C., and then was a free-lance journalist in Central America.
He holds an MA in international economics from The Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, and a triple-major BA from Ripon College where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Zindar is widely published (American Defense Monitor, Economist, International Herald Tribune, London First Magazine, Military Intelligence Review, The Times of London, Wall Street Journal Europe, Washington Business Journal), and is a frequent speaker at industry, trade and political events. He has also given expert testimony before both the U.S. Congress and the United Nations. John is a passionate supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and a biker, kayaker, Nordic skier and snowshoer.
