Steven Vorndran is the owner and Vice President of Thaler Associates, Inc. a Washington DC based consultancy firm which assists Western European companies at very high levels to deploy their businesses in the US.
Steven Vorndran has a multidisciplinary background in the environmental field; he is a business development specialist and experienced corporate manager. He was Director and Chief Operating Officer of Roy F. Weston, Inc (now Weston Solutions) and President of Weston International, the company’s international arm. He was responsible for day-to-day operation of the $300 million turnover, publicly traded company and for providing the leadership to over 2500 people and 50 US and international offices. During his time at Weston, Mr. Vorndran helped the company grow to be one of the 4 largest environmental engineering and service companies in the US. As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development he was responsible for M&A activity and putting Weston into the build, own, operate and transfer business.
Prior to Weston, Mr. Vorndran worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation in their international, environmental and government services businesses. He also worked for the US Department of Energy with responsibilities in the areas of nuclear submarine fuels, environmental management and chemical processing facilities. Mr. Vorndran has been a participant in several startup companies in the concrete products, GPS, digital encryption, environmental and wireless broadband industries.
Steven Vorndran holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, 1969 and attended the University of Idaho’s MBA graduate study program as well as management courses at Harvard Business School.
